Cast & Crew
Texas Ranger Jeff Douglas is forced to kill Jim Bond and Eddie Kane when they resist arrest. Then Jeff accidentally kills Johnny Boyle, a former Ranger turned bandit. Full of remorse, Jeff resigns from the Rangers and heads for the Silver Circle Ranch in Arizona, which is owned by Jonathan Kenyon, a friend of his late father. Just as Jeff arrives, Jonathan is found dead, an apparent suicide. Later, Jeff learns that Jonathan had turned down a lucrative offer for his ranch from easterner Gregg. Jonathan's will leaves the ranch to his niece Janet, who has just arrived from Boston, and to Jeff, stipulating that neither may sell without the other's consent. Gregg has learned that there is silver on the ranch and is in league with Le Tange, Jonathan's foreman, to obtain it for himself. Although Janet is eager to sell to Gregg, Jeff counsels her to wait as he has also discovered the mine and secretly plans to trap Jonathan's murderers. Later, Joey, a ranch hand, and Janet happen on Gregg, Le Tange and some of their men, removing silver nuggets from the ranch. Gregg kidnaps Janet, and Joey rides for help. Jeff sends Joey to summon the sheriff and the men from the neighboring ranch. Le Tange arrives to kill Jeff, but Jeff escapes, having learned where Janet is hidden. Jeff enters the hideout under the pretense of negotiating with Gregg. Once inside, however, he and Janet escape. Jeff then returns to Texas to rejoin the Rangers only to find Janet waiting for him. Together, the couple rides back to Arizona.
