Carlos, who is very ambitious, works as a driver in his father's taxi business. He wants to marry the daughter of a banker, although she will not consider marriage without her father's approval. An escaped patient from a mental asylum collides with the banker, who gives the patient his business card in case of claims for damages. Later, the patient collides with Carlos and gives him the banker's card as if it were his own. Carlos recognizes his girl friend's father's name, and thinking the patient to be the banker, invites him to dine, but the asylum attendants arrive and take the patient back to the asylum. Having cleared up that confusion, Carlos then encounters the banker, who offers his card. Carlos, however, does not believe that he is the banker, and thinking that the previous incident could repeat itself, grabs the banker and throws him into a fountain. The daughter arrives to find her father humiliated, and she flies into a temper and shoves Carlos into the water. The patient then shows up again, and after he rushes the girl, everyone ends up soaked.

This film was an expanded, Spanish-language version of the two-reel 1930 English-language film Fast Work, which was directed by James W. Horne and starred Charley Chase, June Marlowe, Dell Henderson and Charles K. French. The Spanish version played in Buenos Aires under the title ¡Ay amor, cómo me has puesto! It is probable that some actors who were in the English-language version were also in the Spanish version, but the complete composition of the Spanish cast has not been ascertained.
