After being away for a long time, José Vargas returns to his home town of Llanos, Texas, to discover that his father has been shot and killed. José promises his mother that he will not take the law into his own hands, but in a confrontation, is forced to kill the assassin and become a fugitive from the law. During his flight, José learns that Elvira Núñez, one of his lady friends, has been kidnapped by Blanco and his gang after they have killed her father. José rescues Elvira, captures Blanco and turns him over to the authorities, then is cleared of the charges against him.

This was a Spanish-language version of the 1930 film Last of the Duanes, which was directed by Alfred L. Werker and starred George O'Brien and Myrna Loy. The story was first filmed by Fox in 1919 as The Last of the Duanes. That version was directed by J. Gordon Edwards and starred William Farnum. A 1924 film with the same title was directed by Lynn Reynolds and starred Tom Mix and Marian Nixon. Twentieth Century-Fox remade the story again in 1941 as Last of the Duanes. That version was directed by James Tinling and starred George Montgomery and Lynne Roberts.
