Cast & Crew
High school students Judy and Jim are very much in love, but their relationship is disturbed when Jim's friend Monk introduces the couple to Kathy, a new student who makes no pretense of her interest in Jim. The group spends a lot of time together, and Kathy manages to create friction between Judy and Jim, but the two are reconciled and decide to marry. Judy's parents consider her too young for marriage, however, and they take her away for a weekend to try to change her mind. That same weekend, Jim, Monk, and two other boys visit a seaside town, get drunk at a striptease bar, and take advantage of the services of some local prostitutes. Monk tells Judy what happened, and she breaks up with Jim. Kathy seizes the opportunity to confess her love for Jim, but the affair is short-lived. Jim, who was the school's star athlete, begins to feel tired and listless and finally visits his doctor; he is told that he has venereal disease. The doctor shows him a 5-minute film made by the U. S. Public Health Service, which stresses early treatment of the disease and the importance of finding anyone who may have had sexual intercourse with the infected person. Jim declines to tell the doctor of his affair with Kathy until he learns she is going with Monk. The doctor is able to treat everyone in time to stop the infection; Judy realizes that Jim is sorry for what has occurred; and once more the two are united.
