Three Faces of Sin
Cast & Crew
Egocentric painter Laurent charms Renée Plège, a divorced Parisian antique dealer, but perversely marries her student daughter, Danièle. Tiring of both mother and daughter, the artist moves in with Rossana, a stripteaser. When Renée ransacks the couple's hotel room, Laurent assumes that his wife is responsible and violently rebukes her. Shortly thereafter she is found shot to death. Although the police conclude that Danièle's death is a suicide, Renée and Laurent bear moral responsibility for her demise.
Opened in Paris in September 1961 as Le puits aux trois vérités; in Rome in September 1961 as Il pozzo delle tre verità. Alternative French title: Trois vérités. Licensed in New York State as Three Sinners.
