Cast & Crew
Marcel, a young racketeer who has to repay a poker debt within one week, contacts Étienne, a bumbling criminal, and with the assistance of Justin, Meloune, and Ida, they plan the Christmas Eve robbery of the Galeries Lafayette, Paris' largest department store. With Justin disguised as Santa Claus, they place the stolen receipts in a bag filled with toys but lose it to some juvenile delinquents. Marcel locates the teenagers at a bar and learns that the money is in the hands of Limonade, who plans to emigrate to Chile. Raf, Limonade's nephew, and Moune take the 100 million francs and flee by car, followed by the original criminals. Marcel recovers the money when Raf's automobile crashes, but Moune reports Marcel's license plate number to the authorities. At their villa hideout, the gang wash the money, which had been accidentally coated with glue, and hang it up to dry. When the police arrive in search of a runaway cow, Ida and Meloune attempt a getaway with the loot. They are given a ride to the train station by the police, and Marcel chases after them, but he is apprehended when his license is identified. Ida and Marcel are eventually captured as they board the train for Nice.
