Cast & Crew
Geraldine Barker, engaged to Reginald Crocker, "the catch of the season," has second thoughts when she finds a gray veil in his overcoat. Through gossip and snooping, Geraldine learns that the veil belongs to beauty shop owner Mlle. Hortense. Hoping to surprise Reginald, Geraldine rents the parlor for a week, but Hortense uses the vacation to take a trip with Reginald. Dick Annesley, a Western cattleman and friend of Geraldine's brother, visits to get a manicure. When they meet again, Geraldine decides to rid him of his beliefs that women should never tell lies or take money from a family member, and that he would never elope. After she steals her sister's jewels, Dick offers to return them, but is caught and has to lie to her father. When Dick proposes they elope, Geraldine agrees, but then brings him to the party announcing her engagement to Reginald. After Dick leaves, she breaks the engagement, finds Reginald on the beach, and agrees to be his wife.
