Cast & Crew
Obsessed with becoming an opera star, Julia Long leaves her husband, George Bender, as well as her young daughter Cora, elopes with her voice teacher, and is hailed as the rage of Paris. Years later, while George and Cora are vacationing in France, they meet Julia, who has long since been deserted by the voice teacher, and a slow reconciliation begins. Then, however, Julia discovers that Cora is engaged to the dissolute Duke De Lac. Determined to prevent the marriage, Julia tells the story of her own affair with the duke, after which George, still in love with Julia and still so jealous of her lovers, takes Cora and leaves France immediately. Distraught, Julia loses her voice and can no longer sing in the opera. Finally, however, George realizes that he cannot live without Julia, and so he returns to France to complete their reconciliation.
