Cast & Crew
Unjustly accused of theft, cabaret hostess Betty Carlisle ducks into a hospital to escape capture and pretends to visit a blinded, crippled soldier. They become interested in each other, fall in love, and marry. Through Betty's encouragement, the soldier recovers his health; he, in turn, forgives Betty for her past, which is revealed to him by a malicious former acquaintance of hers.
Bernstein appears to have been responsible for titles, but at least one source credits Lee. Some sources cite Evelyn Campbell's short story "Rescue" as the source, not "Remorse."
