Synopsis
Ed, the more serious of two brothers, is fulfilling a deathbed promise to his grandmother by acting as guardian to his undisciplined brother, Wally. At a college they attend, Wally is nearly suspended when he becomes involved with a girl whose brother runs a disreputable country house. Ed, an honor student, uses his influence to persuade the dean to let Wally remain. Wally begins to gamble; he loses money and forges his brother's name to pay his debts. Confronted by Ed, Wally apparently reforms. But before the big game (both boys are on the football team), Ed learns that Wally intends to throw the game. On the second play Ed punches Wally, knocking him unconscious: his team wins the game; Wally realizes his mistake; and they forgive each other.
