Synopsis

Although fascinated by rogue Robert Neyland, Chrissey Desselden promises to marry her guardian, John Warburton. After the wedding, she pleads with her husband to treat her as a child until she knows her own heart. He agrees, and after deciding that she loves Neyland, Chrissey goes to Reno to secure a divorce. Chrissey's love is not enough for Neyland, however, who desires to destroy Warburton financially. Neyland asks to borrow money from Chrissey, which she agrees to lend him until she discovers his treacherous plot. Perceiving Neyland's true nature, Chrissey cleanses her system of him and returns to Warburton as his wife, thus leaving Neyland to perish in his own wretchedness.
