Cast & Crew
Horse rancher Frank Gilmore and his daughter Helen are facing financial ruin as it appears that an outlaw stallion is luring away their best stock to join his herd. Unknown to them, the real culprit is their foreman, Steve Mays, who is the head of a rustling ring that is steadily depleting the Gilmore's stock. When Yak, a stranger, rides into the ranch claiming to be able to capture the stallion, Gilmore gladly accepts his offer. After Yak easily catches the stallion by involving it in a fight with another, he sets about to tame the animal. Soon, Yak has the horse, which he names "Boy," performing tricks with which he plans to impress Helen. Mays, who also has an eye for Helen, plans to rustle the rest of Gilmore's stock, despite the presence of a sheriff and his deputy guarding the ranch. When the deputy is killed by one of Mays' gang, Mays identifies Yak as the killer. The sheriff takes Yak into custody, but he manages to escape at the same time that Helen overhears Mays admitting to framing Yak. Yak chases after Mays and, despite still being handcuffed, foils Mays' last roundup. When the sheriff, Helen and her father arrive, Yak reveals that he has been working as an undercover investigator for the Cattlemen's Association and that Mays is wanted in Texas for murder. Yak then asks Helen to marry him.
