Beginning with a montage of Broadway as seen in the 1920's, the film, narrated by Jay Jackson, is divided into three sections of silent film comedies. The first part is devoted to Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy and includes scenes from: The Hobo (1917), His Day Out (1918), No Man's Law (1927), Kill or Cure (1923), The Second Hundred Years (1927), Putting Pants on Phillip (1926), Two Tars (1928), Big Business (1929), Double Whoopee (1929), and Their Purple Moment (1928). The second part of the film features Charlie Chase in scenes from: Us (1927), What Price Goofy? (1925), Fluttering Hearts (1927), The Family Group (1928), and Limousine Love (1928). The final sequence is devoted entirely to Buster Keaton in Seven Chances (1925).
