Cast & Crew
Social worker Barbara Bozenta devotes her life to the poor and yearns for a society where all are equals. Captain Norman Worth, a soldier wounded in the war, also dreams of such a utopian society. Worth's wealthy father is determined to cure his son of his idealistic notions and secures an island off the coast of Florida to be set up as a test of his son's Bolshevist ideas. It soon appears that none of the commune members want to do any work, and that Herman Wolff, the leader, is using Barbara and Norman for his own selfish ends. Wolff is already married, but advocates free love. He tells Barbara she must consent to live with him. Wolff imprisons Norman, but Norman breaks free and rescues Barbara from Wolff. The experimental colony has failed. The red flag is replaced by Old Glory, and a troop of marines restores order to the island.
